Article on Yahoo! Finance proclaims that America has broken its addiction to oil.

The writer or the piece, Jay Yarrow, uses the following logic: We’re on pace to use less oil in 2009 compared with 2008, therefore, Yarrow declares, “That means, you guessed it, we’ve broken our “addiction” to oil.”

NY Times: Less Crap is Cheaper than More Crap.

My headline is a bit rough. It’s not Brooks Barnes’ fault that manufacturers are just getting around to doing something that’s been obvious since at least forever: using less packaging means spending less money on raw materials. And you can also call yourself GREEN. Hoot.
